Introduction
Take your first step towards the skies with our Private Pilot License (PPL) Modular Training course. Designed for aspiring pilots, this program provides comprehensive training in single-engine aircraft. Over the course of 40 flight hours, including 10 hours of solo flying and 5 hours of cross-country solo, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate the skies safely. Additionally, the course includes 5 hours of basic instrument flight training, laying a strong foundation for your piloting career.
Entry Requirements
- Age: Must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the program.
- Education: Six passes at the GCE Ordinary Level Examination, with a Credit Pass for English and a Credit
Pass for either Mathematics or Science, or an equivalent qualification - Medical: A valid Class 1 Medical certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Duration: Theory 03 Months | Flying 05 Months

Ground Training
A minimum of 210 hours of ground instruction through a mix of classroom sessions, presentations, computer-based training, discussions, and progress tests. Subjects include:

- Flight Performance and Planning: Mastering flight performance calculations and planning.
- Human Performance & Limitations: Understanding physiological and psychological factors affecting pilots.

- Navigation: Techniques for accurate navigation.
- Operational Procedures: Standard operating procedures for various flight scenarios.
- Principles of Flight: Theoretical principles underlying flight mechanics.
- Communications: Effective communication procedures for safe flying.


Flying Training
Upon completion of ground school, you will begin your flying training, covering:
- Pre-Solo: Introduction to flight controls and basic maneuvers.
- Circuits and Emergencies: Practicing takeoffs, landings, and emergency procedures.
- First Solo: Your first solo flight experience.
- General Handling Solo: Solo flights to enhance overall aircraft control.
- Basic Instrument Flying: Training in basic instrument navigation, Proficient in flying with only reference to instruments.
- Cross-Country Dual and Solo: Cross-country navigation exercises.
- Check Flight: Final assessment to validate your flying proficiency.
