Introduction

Entry Requirements
- Age: Minimum of 17 years at the start of the program.
- Academic: Three passes in the GCE Advanced Level Examination or equivalent international qualifications (e.g., Edexcel, London A/L, Cambridge A/L).
- Medical: A valid Class 1 Medical certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in both spoken and written English.

Course Structure
Year 1
Building the Foundations
- Semester I: Covers an Introduction to Aviation, Introduction to Aviation Management, Professional and Technical Communication, Aviation Physics, Airline Operations Management, Principles of Economics & Aviation Economics, Safety Management Systems, Cross-Cultural Management.
- Semester II: Focuses on Basic Data Analysis, General IQ, and initial ground school subjects including Principles of Flight – I, Airframes/Systems/Power plant/Electronics/Emergency Equipment – I, Meteorology – I, Human Performance & Limitation – I, Air Law – I, Operational Procedures – I, Instrumentation – I, General Navigation – I, Radio Navigation – I, Performance – I.
Year 2
Advanced Theory and Initial Flying Training
- Semester III: Continues with Advanced ground school in General Navigation – II, Radio Navigation – II, Instrumentation – II. Begin flying training including Pre-Solo & First Solo Check Flight, Circuit, GH, Instrument & Cross-Country Flying, and Check Flight.
- Semester IV: Delves deeper into Airframes/Systems/Power Plant/Electronics/Emergency Equipment – II, Meteorology – II. Continue flying training with Cross-Country Flying and Check Flight.


Year 3
Specialized Training and Proficiency
- Semester V: Focuses on Advanced Principles of Flight – II, Mass & Balance, Air Law – II. Conduct flying training up to Instrument Flying & Check Flight.
- Semester VI: Covers Performance – II, Flight Planning & Monitoring, Human Performance & Limitations – II, Operational Procedures – II, VFR Communications, IFR Communications. Gain practical industry experience through an Industrial Study. Complete flying training with Night Flying, Complex Aircraft, General Handling, and Final Check Flight to achieve CPL/IR and Multi-Engine Rating.
